I love spending time fixing small details and optimising web applications, devising better problem-solving methods for challenging tasks, and learning new techniques and tools as needed. I take pride in delivering projects to the highest standard possible and never 'just settle for the status quo'.
My experience has taught me that the number of programming languages I have mastered or the specific frameworks I have used is not as important as my ability to quickly and effectively upskill. Web Developer - Part Time
Setup and administration of a web server for a company website.
- Operation and administration of Linux (Debian) based web server running TYPO3.
- Designed and developed a fully responsive TYPO3 template from scratch. Ensuring user-friendly interface and functionality over multiple devices.
- Implemented best practice, accessibility and SEO Strategy.
- Responsible for availability, maintainability of the web server as well as a minor role of managing content.
- Conducting routine maintenance, ensuring website functionality, and performance while also addressing any technical issues promptly.
Full Stack Web Developer / System Administrator - Full Time
Working with staff to capture requirements for look and feel as well as functional elements of the website projects. While also being responsible for everyday administration of computer systems.
- Designed, developed, launched and maintained multiple TYPO3 based websites and Moodle based employee training system both front and back end to meet specific client requirements.
- Integrated custom analytics into TYPO3 (PIWIK now Matomo) in order to give a better insight into how users were using the site, which helped in optimising user experience and engagement.
- Used version control and remote code changes (GitLab) for efficient code management and collaboration with other developers.
- Operation and administration of Linux (Debian), Firewall (pfSense) having experience with configuring routers, switches, as well routing network infrastructure and Microsoft Windows server (SBS 2003 R2) to ensure the smooth running of every aspect of system in place.

During my Diploma I worked alone on this project. I would focus on a PHP solution that would integrate with Joomla databases to allow an article to be distributed to multiple installations via my custom dashboard code, the project was more about designing an enterprise layer. It was a short but good experience.
